Hi, I’m Matthew Hutchinson, the photographer behind Photo Optic, based in Auckland, New Zealand. I explore the world through the surreal lens of infrared photography, transforming familiar urban and natural landscapes into dreamlike scenes of colour and light.

My work focuses on infrastructure and the hidden beauty within the everyday environment, offering viewers a new way to see the world around them. Alongside this, I have a strong passion for automotive photography, capturing the precision, design, and character of each vehicle with the same attention to detail and atmosphere that defines my infrared work.
